Do I have to be a Keller Williams agent?
To pledge per closing, yes. Anyone can make a one-time gift through the donate page without any affiliation.
What if I have a quarter with no closings?
Then you give nothing that quarter. The amount is tied to settlements, so it moves with your year rather than against it.
Can I change my amount later?
Yes, at any time, by emailing the board. Members adjust their number as their business changes and that is expected.
Who decides where the money goes?
The board, working from organizations that members put forward. Grants go to nonprofits in the Harrisburg region and to agents in the market center facing hardship.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
Contributions are intended to be deductible and you receive a year-end statement of everything you gave. How that applies to your own return is a question for your tax professional.
Where does card information go when I donate?
To Square, not to this website. You are handed off to Square's hosted checkout and your receipt comes from Square.
How do I sign up to volunteer for a specific project?
Volunteer days are listed on the events page. Tell the board which project you want through the contact form and they follow up with the details.
Can I direct my donation toward a particular initiative?
Tell the board which cause matters to you and it goes into the discussion, because grants come from organizations that members put forward. Allocation stays with the board, so no gift is earmarked to a single initiative.
What recognition do sponsors receive?
The board sets that for each partnership. Contact the board to talk through what a sponsorship would involve.
How do I submit a grant request?
Use the contact form and choose "A grant request" as the topic. Describe the organization, what the money would be used for, and the amount. The board reviews the request.
